• Compatibility: Best kept with similarly sized, robust, and fast-moving fish that are not easily intimidated or small enough to be considered prey. Avoid very aggressive or fin-nipping species. Can be kept in groups of its own kind if the tank is sufficiently large and offers ample hiding spots.
• Special requirements: Requires a long tank with plenty of open swimming space at the surface, as well as areas with dense floating and submerged vegetation for cover. A tight-fitting lid is essential as they are prone to jumping. Live foods are preferred, and they may be difficult to convert to frozen or prepared foods. Good filtration is necessary to maintain water quality.
