• Temperament: semi-aggressive
• Diet: carnivore
• Minimum tank size: 1000 gallons
• Compatibility: Generally not suitable for home aquaria due to their large size, active nature, and specialized feeding requirements. If attempted, they require very large, species-specific or very carefully selected large-fish community tanks.
• Special requirements: Requires immense swimming space, excellent water quality, and a diet of live or fresh frozen crustaceans and small fish. Very sensitive to stress and water parameters. Not recommended for the vast majority of aquarists.
