• Diet: carnivore
• Minimum tank size: Not suitable for typical home aquariums due to size and predatory nature; requires very large, specialized public aquarium setups.
• Compatibility: Not compatible with most other fish species due to their predatory nature. Can be kept with other large, robust fish of similar size in very large, specialized exhibits, but cannibalism can occur.
• Special requirements: Requires extremely large tanks with excellent filtration, strong water flow, and plenty of hiding spots. Live or fresh dead fish are essential for diet. Not recommended for private aquarists.
