• Diet: carnivore
• Minimum tank size: 500 gallons
• Compatibility: Best kept in a species-specific tank or with other very cold-water, non-aggressive species that will not outcompete them for food. Avoid fast-moving or predatory fish.
• Special requirements: Requires a very large, well-chilled aquarium with excellent filtration and strong water movement. Abundant rockwork and smooth surfaces for clinging are essential. They are highly sensitive to elevated temperatures and poor water quality. Not suitable for most home aquarists due to their specific and demanding environmental needs.
