Descrizione

Melanotaenia praecox, commonly known as the Dwarf Rainbowfish or Neon Rainbowfish, is a small, vibrantly colored freshwater fish belonging to the family Melanotaeniidae. It is highly prized in the aquarium trade for its iridescent blue-green body and bright red or orange fins. Males are typically more intensely colored and possess elongated dorsal and anal fins compared to females.
