• Diet: carnivore
• Minimum tank size: 2000 gallons (7570 liters) for a single adult
• Compatibility: Not suitable for community tanks. Can only be kept with other very large, robust fish that cannot be swallowed, in extremely large aquariums.
• Special requirements: Requires an immense tank with strong filtration, excellent oxygenation, and plenty of hiding spots (large caves, driftwood). Substrate should be soft sand or fine gravel. Lighting should be subdued. Due to its size and predatory nature, it is rarely kept in home aquariums and is more suited for public aquariums.
