• Minimum tank size: 1000 gallons (for adult specimens)
• Compatibility: Not suitable for community tanks. Can only be kept with very large, robust, and equally aggressive fish, or preferably alone. Will consume any fish small enough to fit into its mouth.
• Special requirements: Requires a very large aquarium with ample swimming space. Substrate should be soft sand or fine gravel. Provide large hiding spots such as PVC pipes, large rocks, or driftwood. Excellent filtration is essential due to its large size and messy eating habits. Dim lighting is preferred as they are primarily nocturnal.
