Geographic range

One of the most widespread freshwater fish in North America. Found across Canada from the Atlantic to the Pacific, and throughout much of the northern and western United States, extending south into Mexico in some mountain ranges. Its range includes the Great Lakes basin, Mississippi River basin, and various coastal drainages.
