• Compatibility: Excellent for community tanks with other peaceful, similarly sized fish such as other small barbs, rasboras, tetras, and dwarf cichlids. Avoid housing with aggressive or much larger species that might prey on them.
• Special requirements: Prefers a well-planted aquarium with open swimming spaces. A dark substrate can enhance their coloration. They are schooling fish and should be kept in groups of at least 6-8 individuals to reduce stress and encourage natural behavior.
