• Special requirements: Requires a well-established aquarium with plenty of hiding spots such as caves, driftwood, and dense planting. Subdued lighting is preferred. A sandy or fine gravel substrate is ideal as they enjoy sifting through it. Good filtration is essential, but strong currents should be avoided. Nocturnal feeders, so feeding should occur after lights out.
