• Compatibility: Compatible with most peaceful community fish such as other livebearers, tetras, rasboras, and corydoras. Avoid fin-nippers or overly aggressive species.
• Special requirements: Mollies thrive in well-planted tanks with open swimming areas. They appreciate a slightly alkaline to hard water environment, and some species (especially P. latipinna and hybrids) benefit from the addition of a small amount of aquarium salt (1 teaspoon per 5 gallons) to mimic their natural brackish habitats, though this is not strictly necessary for all varieties. Good filtration and regular water changes are essential. They are prolific breeders, so be prepared for fry if keeping males and females together.
