• Compatibility: Best kept in a species-specific tank or with very large, peaceful, non-aggressive fish that will not outcompete it for food or disturb its benthic lifestyle. Avoid aggressive or fin-nipping species.
• Special requirements: Requires a very large tank with a soft, deep sand bed (at least 10-15 cm) for burrowing. Excellent filtration and stable water parameters are crucial. Dim lighting is preferred. Live or frozen meaty foods are essential. Not suitable for most home aquariums due to size requirements and specialized care.
