• Special requirements: Requires a highly specialized cold-water aquarium with excellent water quality, stable parameters, and abundant live macroalgae (e.g., kelp, seagrass) for camouflage and security. Live mysid shrimp are essential for feeding. They are extremely sensitive to stress, rapid environmental changes, and poor water quality. Specialized filtration and chilling systems are mandatory. Captive breeding is exceptionally challenging and rare.
