• Minimum tank size: Not suitable for typical home aquariums due to size and predatory nature; requires very large, specialized public aquarium exhibits.
• Compatibility: Not compatible with other fish species, as they are highly predatory and will consume anything that fits in their mouth. Best kept in species-specific exhibits.
• Special requirements: Requires extremely large tanks with significant filtration, strong water movement, and abundant rockwork for shelter. Live prey or large chunks of fish/squid are necessary for feeding. Not recommended for private aquarists.
