• Compatibility: Excellent community fish, compatible with other peaceful, similarly sized tetras, rasboras, dwarf cichlids, corydoras, and other small, non-aggressive species. Avoid housing with fin-nipping species or very large, boisterous fish.
• Special requirements: Prefers a well-planted aquarium with subdued lighting and dark substrate to bring out its colors. Requires clean, well-filtered water with moderate flow. Best kept in groups of 6 or more to encourage natural schooling behavior and reduce stress. Males will display territoriality towards each other, especially during breeding, but this is usually non-violent in a sufficiently sized tank with plenty of hiding spots.
