• Minimum tank size: 75 gallons (280 liters) for a small group of juveniles, larger for adults
• Compatibility: Best kept in groups of 5 or more with other brackish water species of similar size and temperament, such as Archerfish, Scats, and other Monos. Avoid very small or overly aggressive tankmates.
• Special requirements: Requires brackish water conditions, especially as they mature. Juveniles can tolerate freshwater for a period, but salt should be gradually added. A specific gravity of 1.005-1.015 is ideal for adults. They need ample swimming space and appreciate some open areas as well as hiding spots among driftwood or robust plants. Excellent filtration is crucial due to their active nature and feeding habits.
