• Compatibility: Generally compatible with other peaceful, similarly sized or larger fish. Avoid very small fish that could be mistaken for food. Best kept in groups of 3 or more.
• Special requirements: Requires a soft, sandy or fine gravel substrate to prevent injury to its delicate barbels. Needs plenty of hiding places such as caves, driftwood, and dense planting. Good filtration is essential, but strong currents should be avoided. Can jump, so a secure lid is necessary. Tolerates a wide range of temperatures, but extreme fluctuations should be avoided.
