Environment

Geographic range

Circumglobal in tropical and subtropical waters. Found in the Atlantic Ocean (from Massachusetts, USA, to Argentina, including the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea; also off West Africa), Indian Ocean, and Pacific Ocean (from Japan to Australia and New Zealand, and off the Americas).
