• Compatibility: Best kept in a species-specific tank or with other large, robust, and non-aggressive temperate marine fish. Avoid keeping with smaller, timid species or other wrasses unless the tank is very large and provides ample hiding spaces.
• Special requirements: Requires a mature aquarium with plenty of live rock for hiding and foraging. A deep sand bed is beneficial as they may bury themselves at night or when stressed. Excellent water quality and strong filtration are essential. Not suitable for typical tropical reef aquariums due to temperature requirements.
