Geographic range

Widespread in the Western Atlantic Ocean, from Florida (USA) and Bermuda, throughout the Caribbean Sea, Gulf of Mexico, and along the coast of Central and South America down to Brazil. Also found in the Eastern Pacific from Baja California (Mexico) to Peru.
