Geographic range

Primarily found in Southeast Asia, particularly on the island of Borneo (Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei). Some species are also found in other parts of mainland Southeast Asia, such as Thailand and Vietnam, though the genus Gastromyzon is largely endemic to Borneo.
