• Compatibility: Generally peaceful and can be kept with other similarly sized, non-aggressive brackish or freshwater fish. Best kept in groups of 6 or more to spread aggression and observe natural schooling behavior. Avoid highly aggressive or fin-nipping species.
• Special requirements: Prefers a well-planted aquarium with plenty of hiding spots among rocks and driftwood. A sandy substrate is ideal as they enjoy sifting through it. While tolerant of freshwater, they thrive in brackish conditions (specific gravity 1.002-1.005) which can enhance their coloration and health. Good filtration and regular water changes are essential.
