Geographic range

Western Atlantic Ocean, from North Carolina (USA) and Bermuda, south to Brazil, including the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea. Also found in the eastern Atlantic, including the Azores, Madeira, Canary Islands, and along the coast of West Africa.
