• Minimum tank size: 500 gallons (1890 liters) for a single adult
• Compatibility: Not suitable for community tanks. Best kept as a solitary specimen due to its predatory nature and electric discharge capabilities.
• Special requirements: Requires a very large aquarium with a secure lid to prevent escape. Substrate should be soft sand or fine gravel. Dim lighting and plenty of hiding spots (PVC pipes, large driftwood) are essential. Excellent filtration is necessary to maintain water quality. Extreme caution must be exercised during maintenance due to electric shocks.
