• Compatibility: Generally peaceful with other non-aggressive fish. Can be kept with other butterflyfish if introduced simultaneously in a large tank. Avoid keeping with aggressive or fin-nipping species. Not reef-safe with all corals, especially soft corals and some LPS, as they may nip.
• Special requirements: Requires a mature, well-established aquarium with plenty of live rock for grazing and hiding. Excellent water quality is paramount. Due to its specialized diet, it can be challenging to acclimate to prepared foods. A varied diet of small, meaty foods, including frozen mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and finely chopped seafood, is essential. Often used for Aiptasia control, but should not be solely relied upon for this purpose as it needs a diverse diet.
