• Minimum tank size: 20 gallons (75 liters)
• Compatibility: Peaceful community fish, best kept with other small, non-aggressive species. Avoid fin-nippers or overly boisterous tankmates.
• Special requirements: Requires a well-planted aquarium with open swimming spaces. Prefers to be kept in schools of 6 or more individuals to reduce stress and encourage natural behavior. Sensitive to poor water quality. Often sold dyed in the aquarium trade, which is detrimental to their health; seek undyed specimens.
