Geographic range

Indo-West Pacific: from the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand, throughout Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, northern Australia (from Shark Bay, Western Australia, to northern New South Wales), and extending to New Caledonia and Fiji.
