• Compatibility: Not suitable for typical home aquariums due to its size and specific habitat requirements. If kept in very large, specialized setups, it can be housed with other large, robust, coldwater riverine species.
• Special requirements: Requires extremely large tanks with strong filtration and high oxygenation. A powerful current is essential to mimic its natural riverine habitat. Substrate should be sand or fine gravel, with smooth rocks and driftwood for cover. Not recommended for most aquarists.
