• Compatibility: Not compatible with other fish, including conspecifics, unless the tank is exceptionally large and well-structured to prevent predation. Best kept as a solitary specimen.
• Special requirements: Requires a large aquarium with ample hiding spots (caves, driftwood). Excellent filtration is crucial due to its carnivorous diet and large waste production. Dim lighting is preferred. Live or frozen meaty foods are essential. Due to its predatory nature, tankmates are generally not recommended as it will attempt to eat anything that fits into its mouth.
