• Compatibility: Not suitable for community tanks. Best kept alone or with very large, robust, and fast-moving fish that cannot be swallowed. Highly predatory.
• Special requirements: Requires a very large, securely covered aquarium with plenty of hiding places (PVC pipes, large rocks, driftwood). Excellent filtration is essential due to their large size and messy eating habits. They are escape artists, so all openings must be sealed. A substrate of sand or fine gravel is preferred for burrowing. Dim lighting is recommended.
